| | Alternative Shipping Options: We use USPS exclusively for all International shipping. USPS provides 2 shipping options that we use. Standard Priority service and Express service. Locally your package is usually cleared thru your customs service and delivered using your domestic mail service. The time for your package to clear customs can vary depending on the time of the year (holidays, etc.). Priority Service: DUE TO RECENT CHANGES made by USPS, packages shipped using Priority service can no longer be properly insured, therefore we will NO LONGER offer USPS Priority as a shipping option. Express Service: Express service packages are usually delivered in about 6 business days, though again no guarantees. The big difference is that the package is more traceable. It usually is scanned at each stage. USPS will also start a trace for a missing Express Package much sooner, though the time period varies depending on the destination country.
If you need your package sooner we do use USPS Global Express which is usually 3 days. Typically it is double the cost of Express shipping. We can provide shipping quotes on request. If the order must be shipped in more than one package the quote will reflect that. Global Express Service is not available to all countries or locations.
Please Note: Many countries charge duty or tax on items imported. Please check your country's Customs Service web site for information to estimate the duty charges, if any, for your order. Any duty or tax charges are the responsibility of the importer. These charges will be collected at delivery. Please do not ask us to mark the package as "gift" to get around the duty charges.
Due to maximum length restrictions placed by USPS we may be unable to ship skis and snow boards to you using USPS. If this is the case we will contact you and discuss the options available.
Bongo International www.bongous.com is a freight forwarder that we have used with many customers. While more expensive than USPS, they offer very fast delivery and have extremely good order tracking information. In many cases they can deliver oversize packages such as skis or snow boards that USPS cannot handle. They will also consolidate packages from more than one source which provides extra savings. Often in order to complete verification on International orders (and some domestic orders), we must complete additional verification of the credit card information. There are a couple methods that we use including the processing of multiple small charges to ensure that the person that is placing the order has access to the account being used. When it is determined that additional verification is required these processes will automatically be initiated with the instructions to complete the process e-mailed to you when the charges have been placed. Normally this will happen with-in 12-24 hours of the order being placed. |
